Dr. Ashok Kumar is the Director of Nanotechnology Research and Education Center (NREC) and also a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida, Tampa. Dr. Kumar is also affiliated faculty member of Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) and USF Nanomedicine Research Center. Before joining USF, Dr. Kumar was employed as tenure-track faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Alabama. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur), and Ph.D. from the North Carolina State University, Raleigh. His research is focused towards the development of nanotechnology based novel materials for multifunctional applications. His other interests include K-12 educational outreach, gender and science education and nanotechnology industrial outreach. He has published two textbooks, edited seven proceeding books, 12 book chapters including 200 peer reviewed articles. His excellence as a researcher has been recognized by a number of honors, including ASM Fellow (2007), AAAS Fellow (2010), AIMBE Fellow (2015), ASM-IIM Visiting Lecture Award (2007), Theodore and Venette Askounes Ashford Distinguished Scholar Award (2006), USF Outstanding Faculty Research Achievement Award (2004), USF President Faculty Excellence Award (2003), NSF Faculty Early CAREER Development Award (2000), National Research Council Twining Fellowship Award (1997) and, NSF and DOE EPSCoR Young Investigator Awards (1996-97). He also received the Professor Honorario award from the Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia (2009).

Prof. Wonbong Choi

Dr. Wonbong Choi is a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and also Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at University of North Texas, Denton. Dr. Choi obtained his Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from the North Carolina State University (NCSU) in 1997. After his PhD, Dr. Choi worked in the industry research laboratory as a senior researcher and project manager at Samsung (SAIT). He was a leading scientist in the "Carbon Nanotubes for Tera-level Nano electronics Device" project. He was also employed as tenure-track associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the Florida International University in 2003. His research focused on the development of nanotechnology based novel materials and their applications. One of the remarkable achievements in his research career was the invention of "Carbon Nanotube Field Emission Display", which was reported in Science and was covered extensively by news media around the world. He is credited for developing the single molecular DNA-sensor, high efficiency Li-ion battery based on carbon nanotubes, graphene based flexible field emission display, vertical CNT-Field Effect Transistor and CNT based non-volatile memory devices. He has successfully conducted numerous granted projects funded by AFOSR, NSF, SRC, DOE and Samsung. Dr. Choi is the author/co-author of over 70 patents, 1 book ("GRAPHENE" CRC Press), 10 book chapters, over 200 publications, which includes over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and over 60 conference proceedings. His research articles have been cited over 5,000 times with H-index of 36. He serves as a reviewer for more than 20 international journals and also has been served on the Editorial Board of numerous journals.

Dr. Sarac was awarded a Doctor (Honoris Causa)in Chemical Sciences, Tajikistan Academy of Sciences (2011) and also a member of New York Academy of Sciences, Chemical Society of Turkey. Dr. Pradip Majumdar is a Chair and Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northern Illinois University, USA. Dr. Majumdar has been involved in teaching and research within the department of mechanical engineering for the last 30 years. He has contributed critically to the development of undergraduate and graduate programs in mechanical engineering. He has served the department as the director of undergraduate studies, as director of heat and mass transfer laboratory. Dr. Majumdar received 2008 CEET Faculty of the Year Award for excellence in undergraduate education. He has made significant research contributions in number of key areas of thermo-fluid and energy systems including High Performance Electronics Cooling, Fuel Cell Power Generation, Lithium - Ion Battery Storage, High Energy Laser Material Processing, and Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer. Dr. Majumdar has published a text book on Computational Heat and Mass Transfer and a text book of Fuel Cell: Analysis and Design. He is also professionally very active in organizing and chairing national and internal conferences, workshops in heat and mass transfer, computational fluid dynamics, micro- nanoscale heat transfer, electronics cooling and fuel cell energy systems. Dr. Farid Menaa is an experienced and skilled inter- and multi-disciplinary professional. Professor, Consultant, Researcher, Principal Investigator, Executive Director, Advisor, Editor, Reviewer, Event Organizer and Entrepreneur, Dr. Menaa earned his degrees with high distinctions from prestigious universities and institutions. After his distinguished doctoral thesis in gerontology/geriatry and oncology from Sorbonne/Jussieu University & Nuclear Energy Authority (Paris, France, 1999-2003), Dr. Menaa was selected as a NIH post-doctoral fellow in Oncology (San Diego, California, USA; 2004-2007). Then, he pursued his career in Dermatology, and Stem Cells as a DFG post-doctoral Fellow (Wuerzburg, Germany; 2007-2009). Subsequently, Dr. Menaa was promoted to Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice-President R&D at Fluorotronics, Inc. (CA, USA; 2009-2010), a nanotechnology and fluorine chemical company. Eventually, Dr. Menaa was appointed Principal Investigator in Hematology and Genomics as a FAPESP post-doctoral Fellow (Sao Paulo, Brazil; 2010-2012). He was recently nominated for "Who's is Who in the World". During his career, Dr. Menaa followed complementary formations (e.g. Medecine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Food Sciences and Technology, Marine Biology, Nanobiotechnology, Bio-Computation, Biostatistics, Business Development and Management, Marketing, Technological Innovation and Quality, communication/linguistics), worked and taught at various organizations (e.g. public, governmental and private). Overall, the holistic concept of Dr. Menaa led him to actively contribute to various clinical and R&D projects related to medicine, sciences and technology.

Prof. Elisabete CBA Alegria

Prof. Elisabete CBA Alegria got her Chemical Engineering degree (1998) from ISEL (Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon) and her Ph.D (2006) from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She is Researcher (Core Member) at Centro de Química Estrutural (Coordination Chemistry and Catalysis Group) at Instituto Superior Técnico since 2009. She was appointed as Adjunct Professor (2007) at the Chemical Engineering Department of Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL) from Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. Young Researcher Prize awarded by the Portuguese Electrochemical Society (2004) and Research Diploma from Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (2017 and 2018). E.C.B.A. Alegria authored 53 scientific papers, 4 patents, 2 book chapters, ca. 100 communications (17 oral), and supervised 1 PhD student and several Master (8) and non-graduated students (10). Since 2014, she has been an elected member of the Directive Board of the Portuguese Society of Electrochemistry.

Wei Wu, Professor of Pharmaceutics at Fudan University School of Pharmacy, received his B.S. (1992) and M.S. (1996) from the Second Military Medical University, China, and his Ph.D. (1999) from West China University of Medical Sciences, China. He joined Fudan University School of Pharmacy as a faculty member in 2000. He ever served his school as a vice dean and vice director of Institute of Pharmacy (2007-2012). Dr.Wu current research interest is focused on oral drug delivery systems with emphasis on enhancing the oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs and biomacromolecules using nanoscale delivery carriers. One of the on-going mission is to elucidate the in vivo fate and mechanisms of lipid-based nanocarriers. He also has keen interest in pharmaceutical technologies, especially those involved in solidification of formulations of liquid origin. His rewards include New Century Excellent Teachers of Ministry of Education, Shanghai Twilight Scholar and Shanghai Excellent Young Teachers of Universities, Young Pharmaceutical Scientist by Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, etc.. He is now an expert committee member for drug evaluation of State Food and Drug Administration, drug pricing of National Development and Reform Committee and veterinary medicines of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Dr. Gang Li

Dr. Gang Li is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. Prior to joining Clemson in 2006, he was a Research Scientist in the Beckman Institute for Advance Science and Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from where he earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Li received his MASc Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University, Canada, in 1999. He received his BS and MEng degrees from Tongji University, China, in 1993 and 1996, respectively. Dr. Li's background and experience are in the areas of Computational Mechanics, Nano and Micromechanics, Thermal and Electrical Transport in Nanomaterials, and Numerical Methods. He is interested in modeling, analysis and design of micro/nanostructured materials for material property tuning and performance enhancement. He has authored/co-authored more than 30 referred journal papers on these topics and contributed 2 chapters to the books titled "Handbook of Materials Modeling" (Kluwer, 2005) and "Thermoelectrics at Nanoscale" (Springer, 2013). He was an awardee of NSF CAREER award (2010) and one of the six finalists in the 2004 Melosh Medal Competition for the best student paper on Finite Element Analysis. He is a member of ASME, USACM and Sigma Xi. He has served on the ASME Committee on Computing in Applied Mechanics since 2007. Dr. Xinming Huang

Dr. Xinming Huang is an Associate Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Huang area of expertise is in computer engineering. More specifically, he conducts research on circuits and systems design for reconfigurable computing, wireless communications, and signal processing and also teach computer engineering courses at the levels of transistors, gates, circuits, processors, and systems, and also teaches digital logic, VLSI design, HDL modeling, computer architecture, and reconfigurable computing. Dr. Huang experience in industry has helped with both teaching and research. Before returning to graduate school, he worked as an applications engineer and enjoyed traveling around the world to sightsee and to visit corporate customers. After completing PhD at Virginia Tech, he became a member of the technical staff at the wireless advanced technology laboratory of Lucent Technologies, where he worked on ASIC design for wireless communication systems for several years. Dr. Huang work closely with students to solve technical problems using innovative new ideas, new architectures, new algorithms, etc. In lab, he emphasize critical thinking skills and practical experience on hardware design. His goal is to train students to be more creative, equipped to solve state-of-the-art problems. Dr. Md Enamul Hoque

Dr. Md Enamul Hoque is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King Faisal University (KFU), Saudi Arabia since September 2015. Prior to joining KFU he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering and Head of the Bioengineering Research at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (major in Biomedical Engineering) from NUS, Singapore in 2007. He also obtained the PGCHE (Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education) from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2015. He is a Chartered Engineer (C Eng) certified by the Engineering Council, UK and Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Besides, He is a member of several professional scientific bodies including Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), USA; Institute of Mechanical Engineer (IMechE), UK; Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), UK; Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM), Malaysia; and Tissue Engineering Society Malaysia (TESMA), Malaysia. Dr. Liyuan Zhang

Dr. Liyuan Zhang is an Associate Professor at South University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC). Dr. Zhang received an a PhD in physics from Georgia Institute of Technology 2007. He received master degree and bachelor degree from Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Machine (CIOM) and Institute of High Energy Physics(IHEP), Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively in 1997 and 2001, and also did Postdoc in physics and nanotechnology at Purdue University, Brookhaven National Laboratory and Stony Brook University. He has published over 20 papers, and He was also the Winner of "National Youth 1000 Plan" Award of China and " Peacock Plan" award in Shenzhen. His research interest mainly lies in condense matter physics. 1) experimental exploring and developing the nanotechnology and physics laws (novel quantum phenomena and new states of matter) in various low dimensional materials and the artificial nanoscale systems. 2) develop the novel multifunctional applications in future electronic nanoscale devices based on nanowires and nanoparticles.

Dr. Wen is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) registered in the State of Delaware. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2011. He received master degree and bachelor degree from Tongji and Tsinghua Universities respectively in 2007 and 2004 respectively. Dr. Wen's research of interest includes (1) environmental nanotechnology for sustainable water/wastewater treatment, renewable energy harvesting, and water pollution mitigation. (2) microalgae systems for biofuel production and nutrient removal or recovery from water body.
